聖言中學對大埔宏福苑的五級火災造成嚴重傷亡深感痛心，並向死者的家屬及傷者致以最深切慰問。
本校經審慎考慮，決定取消原定於 12 月 14 日 (星期日) 舉行的五十五週年步行籌款活動，以便於各相關部門及協助單位能集中資源，全力投入火災善後工作。有關「五十五週年步行籌款」的捐款後續安排，將會盡快公布。
