二零二五至二六年度學期中頒獎典禮 2025-2026 Mid-Year Prize Presentation

二零二五至二六年度學期中頒獎典禮於二月九日（星期一）假本校禮堂舉行。為表揚在學業及課外活動取得佳績的同學，是次頒獎典禮共頒發二十多個獎項，包括香港學界體育聯會主辦學界田徑比賽、校際游泳比賽、香港學校朗誦節、香港歷史文化專題研習比賽、中學生分析化學挑戰賽等，值得嘉許。

獎項頒發完畢後，由許校長進行了一番簡短的演講。校長以名言「卓越是一個選擇」作引言，及分享了幾位名人的例子，寄語同學們要保持自律，面對誘惑時堅守信念，突破自我限制，在試煉下不斷成長。

是次頒獎禮亦邀請了校友陳浩賢和鍾德澤師兄作分享。陳師兄在中學時透過有系統地溫習，善於運用空閒時間增進自己，學有所成，最終在公開試獲得不凡的成績；鍾師兄在田徑方面取得驚人的成就，在訓練時即使遇到挫折，仍保持著不輕言放棄的精神，於多個比賽中突破歷史記錄。兩位師兄以自身經歷勉勵聖言同學，體現出自律的重要性，從而成功追求遠大的理想。

頒獎禮順利落幕，恭喜以上得獎同學。期望同學們能繼續用己所學、盡己所能，為校爭光。

The 2025–2026 Mid-Year Prize Presentation of Sing Yin Secondary School was held on 9 February 2026 (Monday) in the school hall. Over twenty awards were presented to students who have excelled in both academic and extracurricular activities. These included accolades from the Inter-School Athletics Competition, the Inter-School Swimming Competition, the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival, the Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Hong Kong’s History and Culture, and the Analytical Chemistry Challenge for Secondary Students, celebrating their well-deserved achievements.

Following the awards presentation, Principal Hui delivered an inspiring speech. He quoted the famous saying, ""Excellence is a choice,"" and shared stories of notable figures, encouraging students to maintain self-discipline, preserve their faith when facing temptation, and to push beyond their limits, continually growing through adversity.

The ceremony was honoured to have two distinguished alumni, Mr Chan Ho Yin and Mr Chung Tak Chak, as special guests. During his secondary school years, Mr Chan achieved remarkable academic success through systematic revision and utilised free time for self-improvement, which ultimately led to his outstanding results in public examinations. Mr Chung achieved astonishing success in track and field, maintaining an unwavering spirit despite training setbacks, eventually breaking historical records in multiple competitions. Their unique experiences encouraged Sing Yin boys and demonstrated the importance of self-discipline in successfully pursuing lofty ideals.

As the ceremony concluded, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the prize winners. We encourage students to apply the lessons learned and continue striving for greater achievements and honors.
