福運馳騁無疆：三語揮春送喜 Fortune Knows No Bounds: Trilingual Fai Chun Writing

為慶祝農曆新年並在學生間推廣兩文三語，本校的語常會 (SCOLAR) 學生語文大使，聯同英文科及普通話科，於 2 月 11 日舉辦了名為「福運馳騁無疆：三語揮春送喜」的慶祝活動。

在活動期間，學生們利用毛筆和墨硯實踐傳統書法藝術。他們發揮創意，以中英雙語書寫新春祝福與願望，將現代表達方式與傳統習俗完美結合。活動的另一亮點是「迎春接福」配對遊戲，學生需將普通話讀音與英文祝福字句進行配對，讓同學在充滿節日氣氛且具競爭性的環境中應用語言技巧。不少參加者不僅贏得了精美獎品，更對跨文化交流有了更深層次的體會。

是次活動圓滿結束，成功讓學生在體驗語言魅力的同時，建立正面的價值觀並傳承文化精髓。

To celebrate the Lunar New Year and promote biliteracy and trilingualism, our students from the SCOLAR Student Language Ambassador Programme collaborated with the English and Putonghua Departments to organise the ‘Fortune Knows No Bounds: Trilingual Fai Chun Writing’ activity on 11 February.

During the event, students practised the traditional art of calligraphy using brushes and ink. They demonstrated their creativity by penning New Year blessings and aspirations in both Chinese and English, blending modern expressions with ancient customs.

Another highlight was the Spring Couplets Challenge. This interactive game challenged students to match Putonghua Pinyin with English blessings, allowing them to apply their language skills in a festive and competitive atmosphere. Many participants walked away with fantastic prizes and a deeper appreciation for cross-cultural communication.

The event was a resounding success in promoting positive values and cultural heritage through the joy of language.
