溯本尋源：中學生校際歷史論文比賽 Trace Our Root: Inter-school Historical Essay Competition

中五級方頌淇同學以「論鯉魚門石礦場在二十世紀由盛轉衰的轉變及其對社區轉型的影響」為題，研究觀塘鯉魚門地區早年因天然環境資源而發展起石礦業，及後礦石因科技進步而遭其他價廉物料取代，使該區漸轉成以海鮮餐廳為主的旅遊區歷史。研究過程中，方同學搜集網上資料、研究報告和學術書籍等，並仔細比較各項資料以作分析，最終完成了立論清晰、資料詳實的論文，取得校際歷史論文比賽高級組（社區史）甲級論文獎。

Our F5 student, Fong Jung Ki, has been awarded the Grade A Essay Prize (Senior Category - Community History) in the Inter-school History Essay Competition.

Under the title ""On the Rise and Fall of Lei Yue Mun Quarry in the Twentieth Century and its Impact on Community Transformation,"" Jung Ki's research explored how the quarrying industry in Lei Yue Mun, Kwun Tong, initially flourished due to its rich natural resources. He detailed how advancements in technology eventually led to stone being replaced by cheaper alternative materials, prompting the area's gradual transformation into the seafood dining and tourism hub we know today.

Throughout his research, Jung Ki demonstrated exceptional academic diligence by gathering and cross-referencing a diverse range of online resources, research papers, and academic texts. His efforts culminated in a beautifully structured, meticulously researched, and highly persuasive paper.
